Urlacher Throws Bears Under the Bus

In the wake of NFL players settling multimillion dollar court cases over the abundance of concussions and the lack of action to prevent permanent brain damage or even death. Leave it to Fox Sports to headline common knowledge in attempts to taint a Hall of Famer's name in Brian Urlacher. As a new analyst on Fox Sports Daily, Urlacher simply explained the already scoffed at job on the team known as a "Dive Guy".

The "Dive Guy" is a designated player that in times of dyer need late in games to stop the clock, said player would fake an injury in order to stop the clock due to player injury. This is a well known tactic when your QB can't stop the clock or skills players can't get out of bounds, fans and annalists alike know this.

However, Urlacher took it a step further in saying that the Chicago Bears had a designated player that was signaled by a sidelined coach in a pantomime swim motion of a "dive" to trigger said player to fake the injury. As well known and frowned upon, that tactic is well thought out and sadly needed for some teams. Sorry Bears, Brian isn't good at keeping secrets. Luckily no one watches Fox Sports.

He's Still Got It...

Air Jordan should be considered "Oxygen Tank" Jordan now by the ripe age of 50. From one athlete to another I can completely understand the ware and tear on a body especially one played so many seasons at such a high level.

This past February MJ the Royal "Airness" jams out in front of a mob of kids at his Jordan "Flight" School for youth basketball players. Granted he used to dunk on Dikembe Mutumbo and Shawn Bradley with reckless abandon, the dude is 50 and not in NBA shape any more and still gives the crowd a show.

And yes, this is News to Steven...

Call me Al Qaeda but I'm an American that would rather watch disk golf and bad mitten over baseball with their pitching battles that have a 5 hour game ending in a 1-0 final score. I used to only watch ESPN to see if Stuart Scott's eye would ever come to life. Now I enjoy Stephen A. Smith and Skip Bayless argue over Tiger Woods and Tim Tebow just to avoid MLB highlights on the other two ESPN channels.

Obamacare Stealing Smiles

While its staggering that only 41% of American adults went to the dentist in 2003, it might be only more staggering that the percentage has dropped to 37% in 2010. Why is that?

Many appeals and revisions made it a priority to make sure child heath and dental care was taken care of and as well they should.

Health reform laws require that consumers buy health care plans that cover most everything excluding dental care and therefore excluding the insurers from paying said costs. Very few exceptions would have to involve ER visits for dental emergencies and medically necessary orthodontics procedures.

What happens to the children when they reach adulthood?
Regular dental upkeep and professional care goes in the rear view mirror?

Between 2000-2010 the Emergency Room visits for dental emergencies has doubled from one to two million. Ten years is along time to see steady increase but a blatant doubled increase is ridiculous and even more ridiculous considering the technical advances within those ten years.

HHS spokespeople promise a future health care package that will couple health and dental care more affordable for children that will parlay smoothly into adulthood. Enter Obamacare...

Your Telling Me This Isn't About Race?

While I don't agree in the verdict in the Trayvon Martin murder case, I cant wrap my head around the attempt at subtle racism surrounding it. I say attempt at subtle racism as it is coincidentally not subtle what so ever.

"It was a white guy that shot a black guy in cold blood!"
"He shot him cause he was black in a white gated neighborhood!"

While his name sounds white, George Zimmerman is part Hispanic. The fact that race had to be brought up in general is silly but lets entertain it. "NAACP officials contact FBI and Government officials to hold a Zimmerman accountable in the Civil Rights Courts."

Holy shit, I thought they would entertain the idea of this being OJ Simpson part 2, not bring the Black Panthers back for a vengeful civil rights battle. Black or white, we all thought the evidence was clear even through the clouded after thoughts and swayed opinions. Do I think Zimmerman is guilty? Sure. Was what happened to Trayvon terrible and does his family deserve justice? Absolutely.

But at what cost are the courts willing to pay to put Zimmerman behind bars? Racial segregation and belittlement was thought to have been a line not brought up or crossed by public officials. Instead lets dance on that line and smear it till we have a catastrophic race war when its a clear cut trial of, "that's bullshit, that guys guilty", regardless if he was purple and Trayvon was green.

Boeing 777 Crash in San Fansisco

For obvious reasons, people are more likely to be victims of car accidents than plane crashes and even more prone to death in said crashes. In the past more than 54% of people would not survive in a plane crash. Now with new and improved plane technologies, a lofty estimated 95% of passengers aboard a wrecked plane will survive.

That seems about right in the recent San Fransisco Boeing 777 crash. Of the 307 passengers aboard the flight, two sixteen year old girls were killed. As 187 people did suffer injuries, 123 suffered none at all and remained unharmed minus relative future flight fears.

So far sources inside the Asiana company claim that there were no mechanical malfunctions or errors that have been found as a possible cause to the crash. Is the pilot to blame?
